Lecture 1: What is Feminist Criticism? , Mary Wollstonecraft's 'A Vindication of the Rights of Woman", Virginia Woolf's 'A Room of One's Own" Lecture 2: Simone de Beauvoir's 'The Second Sex', Elaine Showalter's 'Feminist Criticism in the Wilderness", Helene Cixous's 'The Laugh of the Medusa' Lecture 3: Marxism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels Lecture 4: Marxist Critics: Louis Althusser, Antonio Gramsci, Pierre Bourdieu, Paul Ricoeur, Ernest Mandel *pdf notes will be provided after each session *e-certificates will be provided within 10 days of completion of the course *The Google Meet link will be sent to the participants 30 minutes before each session starts. *Each session will be recorded and the link to the recorded session will be sent to the learners after class. Learners will have access to watch the recorded videos till 31st December, 2025.
